Haterade

Day 11- A picture of something you hate.

I hate the Tarheels like I hate the Nazi's, but that's not what this particular writing is about. What I really hate, just as much as thunderstorms and snakes, are people who act like they know stuff about sports when they really don't. Don't get mad. I didn't say I hate everyone who doesn't watch sports. Superbowl sunday is the best and worst day of the year for me. Everyone in America turns into a crazy and just starts talking junk about the teams when they haven't watched a single football game all year. Most tarheel fans wear tarheel shirts because they think that shade of blue matches their eyes or because they live in North Carolina, not because they know anything about basketball. Then they claim EVERY shade of blue on the planet as "carolina blue". The typical tarheel fan says, "the sky is carolina blue because God is a Tarheel!" I mean what? Really? And don't start an argument with me over how the Clemson/Carolina game is life or death, because in case you didn't know, no one outside of this state cares about it. They don't even play in the same conference, or play the same teams and no ones salvation depends on the outcome of that game. I like being a sports fan. It might be one of my spiritual gifts. But you'll never find me screaming at the TV for 2 hours or openly talking trash just to make someone next to me mad. People who know nothing about sports don't get it. The point of "having a team" isn't so you can go around bashing everyone else's favorite team. Go watch sportscenter and actually educate yourself on your sport of choice, then we'll talk. That's all :)

I was working on a labyrinth for my church, and the woman we were making it for is from Charlotte. So we were talking about color choices. We decided that we didn't want Tarheel Blue, and Duke Blue was too dark. So we settled on Panther blue. :) Turned out really neat btw

I also attribute what knowledge I have for football to you and those days you'd come in my room and watch espn...thank you friend
