Friday Favorites

I tell ya what's good about Rock Hill. Besides only everything, Bethel United Methodist Church is good too. During the January to late-March months, they host something called the "Soup Kitchen." It's not the homeless people version, although I'm sure they would give a homeless person food if they came in, but it is an actual lunch stop where all the food is made by the little old ladies of the church. One woman in particular makes THE BEST pimento cheese in probably all of York County (this isnt a fact, but maybe I should do a Rock Hill pimento cheese search). At the soup kitchen are all of her sandwiches and any and every dessert you could want or need. And the best part is that all of this food only costs $5. You could give more though, because it all goes to their church's missions efforts. So I encourage you Rock Hillians to go check it out and support them on a Thursday lunch run, as Thursdays are the only days it's open. CN2 was actually there yesterday doing a story on opening day and it was slam packed. As usual, you got Jesus drawing a crowd.
