Open 24/7
Day 12- A picture of something you love.
After yesterday's really negative post about all the hate in the world, luckily today is about love! I do actually love a lot of stuff, but I especially love being outside. I'm not one of those granola hippies who would live in a tree house for the rest of my life. I like houses and showers (sometimes). But sports and recreational outdoor fun has been a part of my life since I was a little one. I was always outside playing kickball, being a ninja, playing with Freddy the dog. I would much rather be outside playing frisbee than inside at some coffee shop talking about my feelings. I just basically always have to be doing something. My type of vacation is going to the beach, but actually having stuff do like go surfing or playing golf or camping out. This here picture is at Yosemite National Park while I was on summer project and it looks like a freakin postcard, but it was taken with my little digital camera. That's how beautiful that place is, even the worst photographers can take the best pictures. It was the most beautiful place I've ever been and it only confirmed my love for being outdoors. I love God for creating all that for me. And not so we could look at it and talk about ourselves, but to talk about how great He is.

quote of the day
Britt: "I'm starting to really like my Dad a lot! But not like...!"
Bickell: "I have to get this mint sauce to New York."
Me: "Right now? Bickell we don't have time for all that."
Britt: "That sounded really urgent."

Day 11- A picture of something you hate.I hate the Tarheels like I hate the Nazi's, but that's not what this particular writing is about. What I really hate, just as much as thunderstorms and snakes, are people who act like they know stuff about sports when they really don't. Don't get mad. I didn't say I hate everyone who doesn't watch sports. Superbowl sunday is the best and worst day of the year for me. Everyone in America turns into a crazy and just starts talking junk about the teams when they haven't watched a single football game all year. Most tarheel fans wear tarheel shirts because they think that shade of blue matches their eyes or because they live in North Carolina, not because they know anything about basketball. Then they claim EVERY shade of blue on the planet as "carolina blue". The typical tarheel fan says, "the sky is carolina blue because God is a Tarheel!" I mean what? Really? And don't start an argument with me over how the Clemson/Carolina game is life or death, because in case you didn't know, no one outside of this state cares about it. They don't even play in the same conference, or play the same teams and no ones salvation depends on the outcome of that game. I like being a sports fan. It might be one of my spiritual gifts. But you'll never find me screaming at the TV for 2 hours or openly talking trash just to make someone next to me mad. People who know nothing about sports don't get it. The point of "having a team" isn't so you can go around bashing everyone else's favorite team. Go watch sportscenter and actually educate yourself on your sport of choice, then we'll talk. That's all :)

Cabin Fever
Day 10- A picture of the person you do the most messed up things with.
For some reason I had to really think about this for about 5 seconds. Then I heard Grace scream "freakin A!" from her room. This reminded me that the 3 of us living in the same house do the most messed up t
hings together. We kicked off our marriage with the 2nd annual trip to the NASCAR All-star race (see left) as we dressed up like rednecks and made friends with a fan wearing fake teeth at the end. Not too long ago, we pulled THE biggest prank of all pranks on some friends of ours down the street. They still haven't figured it out. I can't tell you the hours we've spent in our kitchen late at night screaming about the stupidity of the world and all it's problems. We dance around the house constantly, like the night of the Harry Potter opening we drank butter beer and danced to Glee songs. We sit on our porch and watch ghosts walk by (true story) and watch our neighbors act crazy, while almost setting their house on fire with fireworks on new year's eve. One night we called the cops on our neighbors due to loudness, but about 10 people ended up getting arrested for drugs. The 3 of us watched the whole thing go down through our tiny bathroom door and crawling around the kitchen floor like spy's. Currently we are in the process of getting a restraining order on a 5 year-old boy who keeps banging on our door every day at 5:00 because we won't let him in. My roommates have given me quite an entertaining 2 years to say the least. If you want a big laugh or a good trash TV show, come on down to the Cabin. We'll be happy to mess up you're brain, too!

"Bad, Sexy, and Off the Chain"
Day 9-A picture of the person that has gotten you through the most.
I'm in the library and have lots of papers to write so good thing today's challenge is a no brainer. Next to my family of course, my 3 best best friends have gotten me through the most. We'll be at each others weddings, hospitals when kids are delivered, at funerals when bad things happen, and we always have and will make time for each other. We PRAY a lot for each other and can't nothing beat that! So I don't need to say anymore, because I've blogged about it recently and could go on forever. Erica, Laura, Erin...I loves you!

Emily in New York City
Day 8- A picture that makes you laugh.
I have the most hilarious friends in the world. They make me laugh so much and we've taken some rediculous pictures over the years. But 2 summers ago, Laura, Amanda, Emily, and I went to NYC for the weekend. In this picture, while at dinner with Erin Bickell, Laura has the great idea of taking a picture of all of us through the mirror. It didn't work for the rest of us, but it did for Emily. And she's the only one smiling. Everytime we tried to take a picture of the 4 of us, for the rest of the trip, Emily was the only one who ever managed to make it in. We laughed at that fact way more than it was actually funny. But Emily, you're a great sport!

I wanna put you in a song
Day 7-post a picture of your most treasured item.
This one is in fact a challenge, not because it's hard to pick the item, but because everyone will judge the heck out me for not picking something handed down by my great grandma with some emotional story attached. Chicken fingers and sweet tea are about the only things that win out against music in my heart. I love music. I beleive there is a song for every occasion and mood and music tells a good story way better than I ever could on my own. I listen to country, christian, show tunes, rap, I do actually like the occasional jazz music (especially live), and I even give Justin Bieber a chance. I LOVE to play what music I know how to play on my guitar and if I had the patience and smarts, I would learn how to play every instrument out there. As you all know one of my life goals is to be a DJ. Often I have the urge to quit my job and pursue that dream and the Fox's think I'd be darn good at it. So since there is no better thing on the planet than music, my most treasured item is in fact my ipod. I love it dearly because it helps me sleep, workout, dance, cry, drive, and it walks me to class. Notice that my ipod is currently playing the only Justin Bieber song I own. Happy Birthday Biebs!
